Writing used to be chaotic and stressful for me but the mentorship I have gained from this class has made it easier to navigate ideas; whether I’m writing a book, an article or social media post. Every topic got me excited because I was able to connect the dots with many books that I have read, the storyline of a movie I have watched or even the content I have written in the past. The first session was most memorable as I got to clearly see the difference between a story idea, prompt and spark. I did not know there was a difference until this class. Then I gained a deep understanding about plots; what it is, how it can serve to streamline the ideas of a writer, and how to write clearly and just hit the nail right on the head. This class was well thought out; focusing on the important parts of creative writing especially as concerns the development of a story. Ms Kae was my assigned coach, and she had a broad knowledge of almost everything. She really did justice to each topic. I couldn't help but appreciate the tactfulness with which she answered all questions and brought light to the things I found difficult to understand. In all, this class had an exceptional curriculum and I can't help but think what registering for the other program that has more offers will feel like.

The 2021 POF workshop and competition by Pennacle laid the solid foundation that began my career as a creative writer but this class has taken that foundation many miles ahead. The sessions on narrative descriptions and flash fiction were my favorite because I got to craft stories on the spot from literally anything, design a fitting world and use imaginary descriptions that appeals to the reader's senses. These days, I do it as a daily practice by myself. Being able to cultivate a writing habit is also something I am grateful for. Prior to my class, it was tough to keep up with work and find the balance to write daily. Now it's super easy and on days when I am unable to write, I am either doing a mental exercise, freestyling a poem or meditating on something else. Thanks to this class, I've been able to completely structure my first book which I intend to start writing soon. Hopefully I can come back for the Manuscript Coaching class, fingers crossed. This class was amazing. A billion thanks to the team.

After reading many Ebooks on creative writing that only confused me more, I can finally proudly say I am an elite writer, thanks to this class. I’ve been a writer for a long time and was looking to building a career as a writing tutor but I wasn’t able to because I didn't understand certain creative writing elements like meter and stress in poetry, using the second person POV and keeping it consistent with the tensing, what it means to write elegantly, and how to write humour. During this class, I learnt all of these and so much more. The perfectly understandable explanations, illustrations and exercises that my coach provided were nothing short of magical and I feel so knowledgeable and empowered to begin my career as a creative writing tutor. This is by far, the best class I've ever taken.

I came in thinking I had knowledge on writing, just to find out I have been lacking in so many ways. Pennacle’s coaching classes have helped me figure out key areas I needed to work on and taught me what I needed to know. I feel empowered to continue improving myself even after the lesson. Most of all, my coach was most patient with me and I am very grateful for that.

For a beginner, this class was an eye opener. My coach was the best. She allowed me to ask all the questions I had and wasn't too eager to answer everything for me, instead she patiently guided me towards finding the answers for myself. She told me that no two writers were the same and it was okay to sound weird. For someone who's always felt like I didn't belong, those words were everything I needed. I am so grateful that I took the plunge. This class was excellent.

Insightful. Laid a good foundation for a perfect writing career in any field.

To be honest, I had no hope that it would be helpful when I stumbled upon it due to the mirage of courses out there but I registered anyway because I thought what's the worst that could happen, right? Turns out it was actually great. The facts were straight to the point and not in any way redundant. It felt fresh. I learnt a lot and I'm now on my way to implementing all that I have learnt! Thank you Pennacle!

I was reluctant to take a course with Pennacle to be honest. I'd never heard of you guys before so I thought it was just another brand trying to rip off desperate learners. Thankfully, my friend pushed me to register and I’m glad I did. The lessons were understandable and practical and my coach was almost a nagging presence; demanding more from me than I thought I had. I’d been stuck with writer's block for a long time and always struggled with storytelling techniques. Thanks to Pennacle, I learned several tactics that have helped me overcome those struggles but the best part is that I got to understand the “why”. It's one thing to know how to fix a problem but it's a whole different thing to understand why that problem exists and why that solution or tactic works. I swear I now see writing in a whole new light. I feel like a different writer.

This is my second time having Kae as a coach and once again, I'm blown away by her brilliance. She has a wonderful way of teaching that is warm, firm and thorough. My sessions with her were most insightful and I can't believe how much better I’ve gotten in such a short time.
